چکیده
A competitive fluorescence assay of perylene-based molecular receptors has been established, and selective detection of UTP is achieved through improved aggregation arising from the specific interaction of perylene-tethered guanidinium with uridine and phosphate groups in UTP.

Ultraselective fluorescent sensing of Hg through metal coordination- induced molecular aggregationw
A new type of fluorescent sensor has been developed from a perylene based molecule, N,N0-dideoxythymidine-3,4,9,10-perylene-tetracarboxylic diimide (TT-PTCDI); the strong, highly selective binding between the thymine ligand (T) and Hg ion enables efficient sensing of mercury ions based on a fluorescence quenching mechanism, which is primarily caused by metalcoordination induced molecular aggreg...

متن کاملInvestigation on Fluorescence Quenching Mechanism of Perylene Diimide Dyes by Graphene Oxide.
Perylene diimide derivatives were used as probes to investigate the effect of the molecular structures on the fluorescence quenching mechanism in a perylene diimide/graphene oxide system. The electrons transferred from the excited state of dyes to the conductive band of graphene oxide with different concentrations were determined by fluorescence spectra. The results indicated that the quenching...
متن کاملFluorescence quenching in an organic donor-acceptor dyad: a first principles study.
Perylene bisimide and triphenyl diamine are prototypical organic dyes frequently used in organic solar cells and light emitting devices. Recent Forster-resonant-energy-transfer experiments on a bridged organic dyad consisting of triphenyl diamine as an energy-donor and perylene bisimide as an energy-acceptor revealed a strong fluorescence quenching on the perylene bisimide. This quenching is ab...
متن کاملProbing the interactions between disulfide-based ligands and gold nanoparticles using a functionalised fluorescent perylene-monoimide dye.
The binding of disulfides to gold nanoparticles was investigated using fluorescence spectroscopy and a perylene-monoimide dye coupled to a dissymmetric disulfide via a tetraethyleneglycolalkyl chain (PMImSS). Quantum chemical calculations using the polarizable continuum model (PCM) predict a strong quenching of perylene-monoimide fluorescence by gold nanoparticles as a result of efficient excit...
